Recopilación: Ehud Gardi

Ehud Gardi, an architect and artist, survived October 7 while helping evacuate Nova survivors. In its aftermath, he co-founded Ossim Makom, building spaces of care for evacuees. His own healing drew him back to archaeology and the landscapes of Israel. Through his RELIC project, Ehud silk-screens historical maps and archaeological drawings onto ceramic tiles, kiln-fired to evoke timeless artifacts. Each tile carries memory — embedding October 7 into the larger continuum of the land’s history. His art is not escape but integration, transforming trauma into continuity. Ehud’s creations invite reflection on heritage, healing, and resilience rooted in the soil of Israel.
